As BC 1st CERTIFIED CHIROPRACTIC POSTURAL NEUROLOGICAL ASSESSMENT CLINIC (certified via the API), our approach to evaluating underlying causes of postural distortion is both unique and educational. Posture plays such an important role in our over-all health that it can have effects on our organ function, muscle tone and even be the trigger to headaches, low back pain and other joint related issues. To really improve your posture and therefore your health, there are 3 fundamental components that we focus on during our 12 Week Posture Treatment Program: Spinal Adjustments, Neuro-Enhancement and Postural Exercises and Conscious Awareness (Conscious Ergonomics).

Spinal Adjustments: spinal alignment is performed my making subtle spinal adjustments which are critical for your overall posture. By improving alignment, the body can move more freely and send the vital and necessary neurological information back and forth between the brain and the body (necessary for Neuroplasticity). This is a core element of care in our clinic because posture simply cannot be corrected if your spine is out of proper alignment.

Neuro-Enhancement and Postural Exercises: This is the unique part of our program. While gyms and other physio type settings focus on muscle strengthening our specialized postural exercises work on the neurological and balance foundations of posture. By combing Neuro-Enhancement exercises to work on Neuroplasticity of the brain and the surrounding musculature via our Postural exercises we have demonstrated phenomenal results which are both quantifiable and verifiable. Our Postural Rehab Specialist will design a specific and tailored postural and balance exercise program for you. And don’t worry there is little or no equipment involved and can be initiated at any health level.

Conscious Awareness: Sometimes referred to as Conscious Ergonomics we advise and educate our clients on the importance of how to interface with technology correctly, proper work and home office environment, sleeping posture and many other environmental factors that affect our posture on a daily basis. The goal is to have our clients be more aware of their surroundings and make necessary changes that could be attributing to their poor posture and underlying spinal issues. Being mindful on a daily basis with posture can pay huge dividends later on in life.
